Location: Based in Marion, IA – Primarily work from home, with some on-site time at our Marion shop and occasional light travel to Cedar Falls and Tiffin

Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 base salary + performance-based bonuses

Position Overview

We’re seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across our Marion, Cedar Falls, and Tiffin locations. This person will be responsible for managing field technicians and support staff, ensuring jobs are scheduled and completed efficiently, keeping customers happy, reporting key metrics to ownership. and helping drive growth.

This is a primarily remote position, with most work completed from your home office and periodic in-person time at our Marion shop. Occasional visits to other locations may be needed (typically once a week or less).

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Hiring

  • Recruit, onboard, and train technicians and office staff

  • Manage daily workflows and support team accountability

  • Conduct regular performance check-ins and resolve personnel issues

• Customer Service & Scheduling

  • Oversee customer communication, quoting, and job scheduling

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and timely responses

  • Resolve escalated issues with professionalism

• Operational Management

  • Coordinate workflows across all three locations

  • Track jobs, scheduling, equipment, and job completion

  • Occasionally travel to other locations (1–3x/month)

• Reporting & Metrics

  • Track and update performance data: revenue, job count, reviews, etc.

  • Report weekly KPIs to ownership

  • Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and profitability

• Payroll & Admin

  • Submit accurate payroll data

  • Maintain key admin processes and systems (job tracking, CRM, inventory)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of team management experience OR a college degree in business, operations, or related field

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Tech-savvy: able to work with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and CRM tools

• Professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal business

• Ability to travel to Cedar Falls and Tiffin periodically (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000/year depending on experience + performance-based bonuses
